EVIDENCE 13 |
Take a look at the booklet. The song list seems to be connected to another page of the booklet. Which one is it?
The names of the song seem to describe the positions and relations between the animals, but it does not correspond to the current situation on the animals’ page of the booklet. What could you do about it?
You should cut the paper with nine animals into nine squares, each containing an animal, and put them in their correct position, following the instructions of the song list.
Start with the elephant, it should be in the center, upside down. Which animal should come under the elephant, and how should it be rotated?
Kangaroo lives in Australia, hence the term "Down Under". It's also placed under the elephant, with its back down and eyes directed at the elephant. Try to put the rest of the animals in their places.
Click here to check the correct order and orientation of the animals.
What suggestion is given on the song list page?
What can you see if you turn over the reassembled pieces of the animals' page?
The solution to this puzzle is "penguin".

What song and video are mentioned in the letter? Where could you find this video?
Search for "LAVA - The World Is My Home" on YouTube and watch the video. Now read the poem carefully.
Every verse of the poem speaks of a moment in the video. Can you find which parts of the video is the poem speaking about?
The verse "You can jump on a train, leave me in despair" obviously talks about the Berlin part of the video. Find the other cities the poem is referring to.
How can you find the missing part of the web address at the bottom of the letter? What does the author of the letter mean when he says that Lava asked him to do something?
Listen to the lyrics of "The World Is My Home". You can turn the subtitles on as well, if it helps.
Lava says "If you want to be with me, better get into my groove". Go to peculiarpond.com/requiem/groove.
The author put postcards of all of the places from the video on his wall. You have a selection of the cities and their order in the poem.
Click on the postcards of the cities in the poem in the correct order. What do the books on the author's desk suggest? What should you be looking at in the locations the postcards take you to?
You should be looking at the shape of the building plans. They look like letters or numbers.
The cities in their right order are Paris, Berlin, Rome, Tokyo, Copenhagen, Zagreb, and Brussels. The solution to this puzzle is "July 8th".
EVIDENCE 15 |
Read the diary entry carefully. You will need another piece of evidence to solve this puzzle.
Have you found the birthday card that Daisy writes about in the postscript? Daisy seems to like the concept of the card design.
Why would Daisy draw these random drawings in her journal? Why are both the drawings and the lines of text numbered from 1 to 6? And how is it connected to the birthday card you found in Lava's belongings?
Each drawing corresponds to one of the text lines. You should repeat the concept of the birthday card by finding the subjects of the drawings in the lines of the text.
Fold the paper to form the words depicted in the drawings. In the first line, fold the paper to form the word "sun" with the words "still" and "fun". What does Daisy say about the second step of her secret hiding trick in the postscript?
You should find the words "sun", "mouse", "wolf", "bus", "tree" and "spoon" in the way explained in the previous hint. When you fold the paper, the arrows point at the words that form the solution phrase.
The solution to this puzzle is "I want to be like Lava".

What do all of the stickers on the guitar case have in common?
All of the images on the stickers have a pointing element. What are they pointing to?
If you draw a straight line in the direction of each pointing element, it passes vertically through a single letter. Where should you start?
It seems that the only information we can get from this puzzle is who the owner of the guitar is. Start with the 'property of' sticker and continue until you use all the stickers.
The solution to this puzzle is "Lisa Guin".
EVIDENCE 17 |
Have you talked to Jeremy about the demo? You will need another piece of evidence to solve this puzzle.
Lava writes about the song in her planner. Check the planner page that you can find in Lava's envelope. Is there something strange about these entries? What did Jeremy say about Lava's writing process?
It looks as if the entries about the song are not written chronologically. Can you put them in a logical order?
The correct order of the entries about the song is 31 May (idea of the song), 25 May (writing of the lyrics), 18 May (composing the melody), 3 May (second version of the melody), 11 May (demo recording of the second version), 8 May (presenting the demo to Jeremy), 25 April (Jeremy assigning the demo to the MIDI pad), and 1 May (break from working on the song).
Does the planner remind you of something?
The planner has the same number of fields as the number of buttons in the MIDI pad in the programmed demo. How can you connect the planner entries with the MIDI pad?
Press the buttons on the MIDI pad whose positions correspond to the entries about the song in the planner in logical order. What do you hear?
The solution to this puzzle is "2nd of May 2008".
